The tectonic of the Indonesia and the Southeast Asia region have been described and discussed by many authors (see References). The latest regional tectonic study by Hall (1997) reconstructed the evolution of the SE Asia region using ATLAS computer program ( a Cambridge Paleomap Services). Hall (1997) reconstruction uses paleomagnetic as a reference frame. A reconstruction animations by Hall can be downloaded from the SE ASIA study group at (http://www................).
In general tectonic of Indonesia region divided into two major frames:
Western Indonesia and
Eastern Indonesia
These two frames created a complexity geology of Indonesia. Next pages will use these two
frames to simplify an understanding of the geology of the Indonesia region.
